FENNOR / RENOVATIONS OVERVIEW

Keep what matters.
Change how you live.

Love where you live, but not how the house works? Based in Slane, Co. Meath, Fennor helps homeowners in Meath and Louth plan renovations around better layouts, useful space and everyday life. Dublin enquiries are welcome too.

A VISION FOR YOUR HOME

THE EVERYDAY, RECONSIDERED

Keep the feeling.
Change the experience.

A home can look finished and still make daily life harder than it needs to be. Good renovation begins with those small, repeated frustrations.

LIGHT / MOVEMENT / MATERIAL / PURPOSE

The route to the kitchen.
The place to put everything.
The room you actually use.

A crowded doorway, nowhere for school bags or a kitchen cut off from the rest of the home: these are useful places to begin. Fennor listens to the routines behind your frustration and turns them into priorities for the renovation brief.

We then separate room-by-room options from changes that need a wider plan. You see what each direction involves, what needs assessment and how it relates to your budget before choosing what to take forward.

YOUR PRIORITIES / YOUR STARTING POINT

What would make
every day better?

Choose the changes you care about. These become the starting points for your conversation with Fennor, alongside your budget and the parts of the home you want to keep.

Choose renovation priorities

A CONSIDERED START

Look at the whole plan.

Fennor starts with the awkward routes and unused corners, then turns them into priorities for your layout.

SMALL DECISIONS. LONG DAILY LIVES.

Choose for the way
you will live with it.

Surfaces with a job.

We bring samples and care information into the finish decisions, so you can weigh the look against everyday cooking, cleaning and wear.

Details you touch.

We work through the handles, switches and storage you use most, including reach and ease of operation. Your choices become part of the finish schedule rather than last-minute substitutions.

Light in layers.

We map the tasks and moods you want—preparing food, reading or winding down—into proposed lighting positions and controls before the room is finished.

Material swatches are illustrative colour studies, not product samples or specifications.

YOUR PROJECT WITH FENNOR

A better brief.
A more useful renovation.

We explain the choices, the work involved and what happens next, so you can decide with a clearer picture.

01

First, we get to know your home.

We start with the rooms that frustrate you and the things you want to keep. Together, we separate the essentials from the nice-to-haves and set priorities around your budget.

02

Then we look beyond the finish.

Before pricing the work, we identify the surveys needed for structure, damp and existing services. We explain what is known, what still needs investigating and how any allowance affects the price.

03

You know what happens next.

We explain the proposed stages, likely disruption and whether rooms can remain in use. Your proposal sets out the work included, any exclusions, payment stages and how changes and handover will be handled.

  • Generally a pre-2008 property vacant for at least two years, becoming your principal home or an RTB-registered rental. Local-authority approval, inspection and eligible-cost rules apply.

USEFUL ANSWERS

Before the renovation.
A clearer conversation.

Plain language. No pressure to have it all figured out.

01

Can I live at home during a renovation?

Sometimes. We look at the work involved and explain whether safe cooking, washing, heating and access can be maintained. If a phased approach or temporary move is needed, we talk that through before agreeing the programme.

02

Should I choose finishes before getting a quote?

A few ideas are enough to begin. We help you weigh finishes against your budget and show any allowance for choices you have not made yet.
