FENNOR / VENTILATION

Keep the warmth.
Make room for fresh air.

Condensation in the morning or a room that always feels stuffy? Fennor starts with what you notice and helps you find the right route to a fresher, more comfortable home.

Architectural design concept of a bright interior window opening; ventilation needs a separate designed strategy
THOUGHTFULLY PLANNED. BETTER CONNECTED.

AIR IS PART OF THE ARCHITECTURE

A warmer home.
With room to breathe.

Stuffy bedrooms, condensation or draughts? Fennor takes those concerns into a ventilation brief and explains the assessment needed. The resulting proposal addresses fresh-air provision alongside draught reduction—they are different jobs.

01

Supply

Purpose-provided fresh air for occupied rooms.

02

Transfer

Planned movement between spaces.

03

Extract

Remove moisture and pollutants from wet rooms.

UNDERSTAND THE APPROACH

Fresh air needs
a complete route.

Explore the principles behind the options. We explain the proposed air routes, controls and upkeep in everyday terms; suitability depends on airtightness, duct routes, noise and maintenance access.

Openings supply. Fans extract.

Purpose-provided openings admit fresh air while intermittent fans extract from wet rooms. If the assessment supports this approach, Fennor explains the proposed openings, fans and controls in each room. Opening a window occasionally is not a complete design.

Simplified airflow principle, not a duct layout. MVHR heat exchange does not mix the incoming and outgoing air streams.

Never seal or obstruct a required combustion-air vent. Open-flued appliances need separate safety consideration when ventilation or airtightness changes.

YOUR PROJECT WITH FENNOR

A fresher home.
Planned around you.

We explain the choices, the work involved and what happens next, so you can decide with a clearer picture.

01

First, we understand the problem.

We ask when moisture appears, which rooms are affected and what has changed in the house. That helps identify the professional investigation needed. A new fan is not a guaranteed cure for unexplained moisture or mould.

02

Then we explain the suitable options.

The design needs to suit your layout, airtightness and household. We talk you through natural, local mechanical or whole-house options and what each would involve. Heat recovery also requires suitable airtightness, duct design and commissioning.

03

You know how to live with the result.

We address fan noise, controls and access for cleaning before the work is agreed. Handover includes the operating and maintenance guidance set out in your proposal, with commissioning results where required.

A SIMPLE START

Tell us what you notice.
Room by room.

  • 01The rooms and times when moisture is noticeable
  • 02Photographs of existing fans and vents
  • 03Other insulation, window or bathroom work you are planning

USEFUL ANSWERS

Fresh air and comfort.
Your questions, answered.

Plain language. No pressure to have it all figured out.

01

Can I close vents to save heat?

Do not block required ventilation, especially around combustion appliances. Tell us where the draughts are; we identify the appropriate professional assessment so warmth is improved without compromising safety.

02

Does my home need heat-recovery ventilation?

Not automatically. We explain the options established by the assessment, including what they mean for installation, everyday use and maintenance. Airtightness, layout and household needs determine the suitable approach.

LET’S TAKE THE NEXT STEP

Let’s talk about your home.
And what could feel better.

Cold rooms, rising bills or a heating system you want to change? Tell us what matters most. We explain the assessment and options for your home—you do not need to choose the equipment or a grant scheme first.
